Our Mission

To advocate the maximum utilization of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) by Texas Government Offices, Institutions and Agencies. Also to provide assistance to and promote networking among HUBs and Stakeholders.

Goals and Objectives

Promote the HUB program as a valuable business program in Texas

  • Maintain a voice in the Texas legislature on issues affecting HUB utilization.
  • Maintain a voice in the Texas Building and Procurement Commission (TBPC) on issues affecting HUB utilization.
  • Implement a system to evaluate the impact of the HUB Program on members and local economies.
Maximize membership in the Association
  • Keep membership fees reasonable and review them annually.
  • Allow for fees to be paid with cash or credit or by providing products or services needed by the Association.
  • Maintain and implement an up-to-date marketing plan.
  • Conduct an annual membership satisfaction survey.
Ensure financial accountability of Association funds
  • Produce annual audited financial reports.
  • Implement checks and balances for all Association expenditures.

Create networking opportunities to further business opportunities

  • Conduct regular networking events.
  • Maintain and publish a membership directory.

Promote open communications among HUBs and Stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain an open communications plan.
  • Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the communications plan.

Ensure HUB opportunity to provide products and services to the Association

  • Post bids for products and services where economically justifiable.
  • Rotate vendors periodically to promote fairness.
